NOVODATA Computer Technology Zrt. provides solutions for more than 1300 pharmacies, several social homes and medical device manufacturers and distributors, as well as several retail companies with its business management software.

in 1988, a few enthusiastic professionals founded the NOVODATA Computer Technology Small Cooperative, the predecessor of NOVODATA Computer Technology Ltd. The development of the hardware and software solutions needed to run pharmacies has started. Our founders: Balázs Kovács, Vendel Englert, Péter Hesz, József Őri, István Bende, Jenő Zsoldos, Sándor Démi Gerő, Lajos Balázs, Károlyné dr. Friesz, János Farkas, János Hajnal, Mária Balázs, Ilona Sólyi Dr., Zoltán Ferencz, Pál Bartos  in 1990 we became a joint stock company, NOVODATA Computer Technology Ltd. In order to further develop the company, on 1 December 2014 the owners sold a significant part of their shares to Apotheken-Dienstleistungsgesellschaft mbH (ADG), a leading player in the German pharmacy IT market, based in Mannheim.

Since 2002, LX-Line Ltd. has been owned by ADG mbH, a German pharmacy system administrator, which is part of the German Phoenix Group. It was ADG mbH that received the inquiry from Novodata Zrt., as the latter company was for sale, and its majority shareholder, Mr Balázs Kovács, contacted ADG about the matter. The latter eventually became the owner of Novodata, resulting in a situation where ADG has two subsidiaries in the same market. Neither is subordinate or superior to the other, we are talking about two sovereign sister companies. In 2001, we were awarded ISO 9001:2001 certification for all our activities, which we have confirmed every year since. in 2004, we were awarded the title of ‘Üzlet & Siker’ Certified Business and became an IBM Business Partner. Two years later, we were named IBM Business Partner of the Year and became IBM Service Partner.
